Inducing the seedling to flower when in the second growth stage is normally a practice used on mini, small, or medium sized flowers. Up to this point, the seedling has accumulated nutrients in its 10 months of high-temperature growth. Next, the seedling will be placed in a "cold room" to induce spike and flowering. "Cold room" treatment lasts a period of 5 months and requires a day/night temperature difference of 6-10°C. During this cold room period, the seedling will usually flower in its fourth of fifth month.
